February 2019

My Favorite Three Decoys..

Gary Terrasi was the favorite guest speaker for the February meeting. He brought in quite a collection of carvings by Bayport Carver John Hodge.

Joe brought in a mounted dog head holding a quail in its mouth. He also brought in a full-size pheasant, which of course, was under glass. A small flying pheasant and a small flying duck. Joe acquired his collection from the owner of Hans and Kathy’s Bayport House.

It is now known as The Grey Horse Tavern.  Joe says it took him over 18 months to get the owner to sell it to him.

Thank you to Joe for bringing in his very unique collection of decoys and congratulations to him for being the member with the fastest time talking about their favorite decoys.

Harold Fay is scheduled for the April meeting with Frank Zamparielloscheduled for the May meeting.
